April — Month of the Military Child — is just around the
corner! Once again, the New York State Department of Veterans’ Services has a fantastic
slate of activities and events in store for children of Military Families and
Veteran Families (and, of course, their parents, too).
We are accepting RSVPs now for all of the events that are
described below (and on the posters attached above), all of which are 100% free
of charge for these remarkable children and their parents. As availability
is limited, please do not be shy about sending your RSVP as soon as possible!
Saturday, April 6: Experience the splendor of Howes

Sunday, April 7: Visit Citi Field, the iconic home of
the New York Mets
Saturday, April 13: Head off for an exclusive tour of the All-Things
Oz Museum
Sunday, April 14: Experience the Museum of Broadway
Sunday, April 21: Your presence is requested at Lyndhurst
Castle!
Saturday, April 27: Calling all Taylor Swift fans! The Rochester
Museum & Science Center
Sunday, April 28: Experience Niagara Falls — Tour Aquarium
of Niagara, Cave of the Winds and board the Maid of the Mist
Each child in attendance at any of these events will receive a personalized Month of the Military Child certificate honoring their service, too!

Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where you served for years in Vietnam. He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years. He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country". The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.
